Allah called Surah Yusuf the ‘Best of All Stories,’ which He revealed in the Quran, the best of all Revelations, to the best of all prophets, our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The story was revealed to lift his spirits at a time when his sufferings and worries had mounted. This was a time when he had gone through at least a decade of ridicule and rejection in Makkah, a time when he lost his beloved wife and partner, Khadījah, a time when he had lost his dear uncle, Abū Ṭālib.

The Prophet Yusuf lived thousands of years ago, but time has not diminished his story’s relevance. It is a tale of love, passion, betrayal, and forgiveness, and it has something to teach us, at every stage of our lives. It imparts Divine wisdom wrapped in unparalleled eloquence. It is a timeless story that will continue to soothe our souls during times of hardship and reignite our trust in our Lord.
